5 Things I Do in the Shower

First time here? Friend me on facebook!

First of all, gross that you clicked through to read this post! Just kidding :p

As exciting as it is to know what I’m doing in the shower, the point of this post really has NOTHING to do with me in the shower.  It’s about luring people in to your page.

But as promised, I will divulge my shower activities.

1. I wash my hair and body daily. Yes, contrary to popular belief, I take time daily (and you should too) to clean myself. Most people know that though- the “contrary to popular belief” was sarcasm.
2. I sing- loudly. No surprise here! I sing everywhere at all times. Especially music with good beats.
3. Sometimes I sit down and think. Thank you to my good friend and former roommate Krieg. <–check out his blog from living and working in Alaska . In college he suggested that the rest of us sit down in the shower to just think. It’s definitely weird, but also enjoyable. Haha!

And we’ll stop at three, for a few reasons.

Pushing Boundaries in Post Content

The point of this post, though, is not about what I do in the shower, or the fact that you continued to read about my shower activities. It’s about the fact that you clicked through to read this post. Why did you do that? Do you really want to know what I’m up to in the shower?
When writing content for your own blog, it needs to be unique and ‘you’. Follow some of these guidelines here:
  • Be catchy, but not cliche. It’s OKAY to push buttons and write content that might offend somebody. I can guarantee you that there are people in my life who may be a bit scandalized that I began this post with activities about the shower. However, the topic did bring you here to the post.
  • Be you, but be aware of what works and what doesn’t for other bloggers. Don’t just copy other bloggers. Hone in on your expertise and pretend that you are teaching somebody from square one.
  • Say what needs to be said, and be done. If your post is a story-post, then write a post that has a story. Do not combine the two. Get rid of words and extra phrases that don’t move the post along.
